SAFETY: brake cable snapped, only one wheel now locks
These use a bike-style setup where one pedal acts directly on one rear wheel and a steel inner cable drives the other. When the cable frays and snaps the pedal still goes down and feels engaged, but only one wheel locks. Owners often do not notice until the buggy rolls on a slope.
Likely fix: Repairable but not really DIY. Joie do not list the cable as a spare; a repairer fits a bicycle gear-shift inner cable cut to length with crimped ends. Until then check both wheels lock every single time you apply the brake.
Brake pedal cracked or snapped off
The plastic foot pedal on the rear axle cracks at the pivot or shears off, usually from being stamped on hard or levered with a shoe.

Wheels rattle constantly on anything but smooth tarmac

Likely fix: Maintenance rather than a defect. Pop the front wheels off using the release pin under the fork, clear the bracket gap, rinse and dry thoroughly, then apply light oil to the swivel. Hosing without drying is what causes the squeaking afterwards.
Hood loses its shape and will not hold position
After roughly two years the canopy bows out of shape as the internal hood ribs deform.
Likely fix: Cosmetic rather than safety. Joie sell replacement hoods as spares, which is the practical fix; re-bending the ribs does not last.
Recline mechanism or hood catch fails
