Raincover does not seem to fit properly
Owners find the supplied raincover awkward and assume it is the wrong one or badly made.
Likely fix: On the Wow 2 and Giggle 3 a single cover is designed to fit both the carrycot and the seat unit, which is why it feels like a compromise on each. The Wow Continental ships two separate covers instead, and they are labelled in the seam, so check the seam label before assuming yours is wrong.
SAFETY: frame or front wheel collapsing (original Giggle and Giggle 2 only)
Owners reported the frame collapsing with the baby in it, and front wheels collapsing on several units. Cosatto confirmed to at least one owner that hers came from a faulty batch, and another was refunded once it was accepted as a known fault. It was raised on BBC Watchdog. This affects the early Giggle models, NOT the current Giggle 3.
Likely fix: Not repairable. Stop using it and contact Cosatto, quoting the model and batch. Do not pass it on or sell it second-hand until it has been checked.
Internal folding mechanism breaks
Owners report the internal folding mechanism failing within a couple of months on the Giggle 4, and on the Woosh 4 the arm that locks the buggy when folded snapping.
Likely fix: Treat as a warranty claim rather than a DIY fix - if the fold mechanism has failed the chassis cannot be trusted to lock open. Cosatto do stock fold-latch and chassis parts for many models, but this needs assessing first.
Harness is a fight to fasten every time
A strap runs behind the child's back and gets pulled tight each time the harness is done up, so owners have to loosen the whole harness to get the child in. Reviewers note it was not changed between the Wow and Wow 2.
Likely fix: Set the shoulder strap height correctly and re-route the straps flat, which reduces it. This is a design characteristic though, so a brand new harness will behave the same way - only replace if the straps are actually frayed.
Brake pedal gets kicked or caught underfoot
Parent testers repeatedly reported catching the brake bar while walking, which means the brake can be knocked on or off unintentionally mid-push.
Likely fix: The pedal geometry cannot be changed, but do check the brake still positively locks both rear wheels after being knocked. Cosatto sell brake rods and pedals if the linkage has bent.
Small wheels catch in pavement gaps and are noisy
Owners report the small wheels getting stuck in drain gaps and pavement holes, being loud, and feeling flimsy.
Likely fix: Keep hair and grit out of the spindles and check for a flat-spotted wheel. Cosatto do sell Woosh wheel sets, so a genuinely worn or split wheel is one of the few faults here with a properly buyable part.
Harness buckle prongs will not clip together
Owners report the two harness prongs not securing to each other properly before they go into the central buckle.
Likely fix: Usually crumbs and fluff inside the buckle - clean it out thoroughly and check the prongs are not bent. Cosatto sell replacement buckles and harnesses by model, so this is a cheap fix if cleaning does not work.
Rear wheels wobble or shift on the axle
A commonly reported Giggle-series issue - the removable rear wheels can shift back and forth on the axle, making the ride feel unstable.
Likely fix: Check the wheels are pushed on fully and the release button has clicked home on both sides - a safe check-yourself step. If they still shift once seated correctly, the axle or wheel clips may need replacing.
Parking brake too easy to knock unlocked
Reported as the brake releasing too easily, which is a safety concern if it happens while stationary.
Likely fix: Safety-critical - always double-check the brake is engaged, and if it's consistently slipping out of the locked position on its own, get the brake mechanism checked rather than relying on it.
