Chassis rattles and creaks after a few months
The most consistently reported Evo complaint, with the frame starting to rattle within about three months. Greasing the wheels does not stop it, because solid wheels on a chassis with minimal suspension transmit everything.
Likely fix: Usually loose chassis fixings rather than the wheels. Work round every bolt and screw on the frame and nip them up, which Graco own manual tells owners to do periodically. If it persists it is the fold joints, and Graco sell no spares online in the UK, so it means contacting their customer services.
Will not fold when the seat is parent-facing
Owners repeatedly hit this and it is not obvious from the buggy itself; the fold simply will not release with the seat parent-facing.
Likely fix: By design rather than a fault. Turn the seat to world-facing or lift it off before folding. Worth checking before forcing anything, as Graco warn that forcing an incorrect fold can break the chassis.
Wheels worn or noisy, with no replacements available
Solid wheels get noisy, collect grit and wear unevenly, and Trekko owners also report the suspension being very firm.
Likely fix: This is the honest Graco problem: there is no UK online spares channel, so a worn wheel means Graco customer services, a repairer improvising, or a donor chassis from eBay or Marketplace. Cleaning and greasing the axle stubs extends their life.
Wheels become stiff, wobbly, or squeaky
The most commonly reported Graco issue - usually dirt or debris built up in the wheel mechanism rather than a fault from new.
Likely fix: Safe to check yourself: remove and clean the wheels, checking for worn screws or loose plastic grips (Graco wheels clip on rather than using lug nuts). Replace the wheel unit if it's still loose once clean.
Fold mechanism feels stiff or won't engage
Reported as usually caused by a lack of lubrication or a blocked fold joint, rather than a broken part.
Likely fix: Safe to check yourself: clear any visible obstruction from the fold joints and apply a light lubricant to the moving metal parts. If it still won't fold after that, the fold linkage may need a repairer's attention.
Modes: front wheel doesn't track straight
A specifically Modes-flagged complaint - the front wheel pulls to one side rather than going where steered.
Likely fix: Check the wheel's swivel lock isn't partially engaged first. If it still pulls, the front wheel unit needs replacing.
Modes: persistent squeak Graco itself acknowledges
