SAFETY RECALL: front wheels can detach from the chassis
Front wheels may come off the chassis in use, destabilising the pram. Affects Space Black and Forest Green Hub2 with batch numbers HUB2CH-016488 to HUB2CH-016687, printed inside the right rear leg. Classified high risk.
Likely fix: Stop using it immediately. Joolz are providing a free replacement through service@joolz.com or 020 4525 2638. This is not a repair.
SAFETY RECALL: car seat adapter can detach (adapter only)
The Aer2 car seat adapter can fail to lock onto the spring-loaded pin and detach in use, letting the car seat tip forward and fall. Product IDs beginning NL311-, sold June 2025 to May 2026. The stroller itself is unaffected.
Likely fix: Stop using the adapter even if it looks properly attached, and claim the full refund. You can carry on using the stroller as normal.
Front wheels develop a permanent flat spot
Very widely reported. If the front swivel wheels are not locked straight before folding, they press against each other in the folded chassis and take a permanent indentation.
Likely fix: Prevention is the only cure: always lock the swivels before folding. Once dented the tyre will not recover and needs replacing. Joolz have replaced these under warranty where owners could evidence the damage.
Creaking or clicking from the front of the chassis
Creaking that happens even standing still when the pram is rocked, typically from around four months of use.
Likely fix: The source is almost always the fold joint at the front of the chassis above the front wheels rather than the wheels themselves. Clean out grit and apply silicone spray to the fold pivot.
Brake drags or stays partly on after release
The brake pin does not fully retract so the pram drags, and owners report the brake not kicking off properly. On the Hub the foot brake can become stiff enough to be unusable.
Likely fix: Often DIY. Apply and release the brake by hand and check the pin travels equally on both sides, clear grit around the pin, apply silicone spray, then leave the pram on its side for a couple of hours so it works in. If pin travel stays uneven it needs a repairer.
Front swivel lock button snaps off
The plastic swivel lock button on the front wheels breaks, leaving the wheel either permanently swivelling or permanently locked.
Likely fix: DIY. Joolz sell the swivel lock buttons as a spare pair. Pick out any broken plastic still lodged in the frame first, then click the new one in and cycle it a few times to check it is seated.
Handlebar leatherette peeling
Cosmetic but very common, the leatherette handlebar cover wears through and peels.
Likely fix: DIY replacement. The handlebar is held on with screws needing a Torx driver, and Joolz sell the part; third-party leather recover kits also exist.
Handlebar won't click into the extended/adjusted position on one side
Reported on Day models - one side of the telescopic handlebar stops locking into place while the other still works.
Likely fix: Usually a worn click-mechanism on that one side rather than the whole handlebar - check with Joolz or a repairer for the specific locking part before assuming you need a full handlebar replacement.
Rear wheel rim separating or not tracking straight
Reported on Geo models - the wheel rim's locking clips can wear, making the wheel look buckled or pull to one side.
Likely fix: Replace the wheel rather than trying to re-seat it. Older Geo wheels have in some cases been discontinued, with Geo2 wheels usable as a compatible upgrade - worth checking compatibility before buying.
