Front basket brace pulls out of the side frame
The bar across the front of the basket doubles as the front-wheel brace, and it separates from the side frame. Nuna support offered no parts and no repairability guidance, and the frame is discontinued.
Likely fix: One owner glued and strapped it and reports it holding, but this bar is a structural member carrying the front wheels, so glue is not a repair we would recommend. Get it assessed by a repairer who can pin or sleeve the joint properly, and stop using it in the meantime if there is any movement.
Front wheel assembly breaking or coming away
An owner reported the front wheel breaking off within six months. Wobble at the front wheel is the warning sign before it fails.
Likely fix: Check and gently tighten the front wheel housing nut, but do not overtighten as the housing cracks. A wheel that has actually detached is a chassis-level failure and a warranty claim by email to Nuna support, who handle spares that way rather than through a shop.
Will not fold, the fold lock refuses to release
Common enough to have its own how-to videos. The fold needs both handlebar triggers pressed at the same time, and a partly engaged brake or a half-locked front swivel physically blocks it.
Likely fix: Release the brake fully, straighten and unlock both front swivels, empty the basket, then press both handle triggers together. Clean grit from the wheel housings. Never force it, as forcing cracks the fold housing.
Frame flexes and rattles on rough ground
Reviewers describe the frame as feeling rickety compared with expectations, with hard small wheels that struggle on gravel and grass.
Likely fix: Largely a design characteristic of a travel stroller rather than a fault. If the rattle is new, check the wheel retaining clips and seat-frame bolts for loosening before assuming it is normal.
Folded stroller can drop open when carried
Testers found the folded stroller can partly unfold when lifted because the fold does not positively lock, happening in roughly one in four folds in one hands-on test.
Likely fix: Carry it by the bumper bar side and check the fold hook engages every time. If the hook is bent or no longer catches, stop using it and email Nuna support, as a fold that will not hold is a pinch hazard.
Front wheels clog or jam with debris
A frequently reported Mixx-series issue, especially in autumn - leaves and grit pack into the swivel wheel housing and stop it turning freely.
Likely fix: Safe to check yourself: turn the buggy over and clear the wheel housing of debris (a thin stick or old toothbrush works well). If it still won't spin freely once clean, the wheel unit itself may need replacing.
Canopy won't stay in place when reclined
Reported on Mixx models - the canopy loses its position and flops when the seat is fully reclined.
Likely fix: Usually a worn canopy hinge/tensioner rather than the whole hood needing replacement - check whether just the hinge part is available before assuming a full canopy replacement is needed.
Mixx: buckle straps slip off the clasp
A safety-relevant complaint - the harness straps repeatedly slip off the buckle clasp when securing a wriggly toddler.
Likely fix: Check the clasp for wear or debris first. If straps keep slipping with a clean, undamaged clasp, the buckle unit itself needs replacing - don't keep using a harness that isn't securing reliably.
Demi: axle leans or feels off, making it harder to push
Reported on Demi Grow models over time - the axle develops a lean, alongside clicking noises from the wheels when both seats are loaded.
Likely fix: Usually a wheel/axle wear issue rather than something to realign yourself - a rear wheel set replacement is the standard fix.
Demi: canopy clamp keeps coming unclamped
Reported on Demi Grow - the clamp mechanism holding the canopy onto the frame sides doesn't stay secure.
Likely fix: Usually the clamp itself has worn rather than needing the whole canopy replaced - check with Nuna support for the specific clamp part before assuming a full canopy swap is needed.
